The Conduit on Wii shows off Xbox 360 level of graphics – Yeah Right

High Voltage Software, the developers of the The Conduit for the Nintendo Wii have been going on for a while now about how the Wii is capable of graphics that are on par with the Xbox 360.

They have now released a video showing off the technical capabilities of the game and indeed the Wii. I am sorry, but I am just not sold in any way. While the game looks quite cool and the graphics are relatively impressive, it still feels like nothing more than an impressive Gamecube title at best.

If an Xbox 360 game was released with the same graphics as The Conduit it would be torn to shreds in an instant. Good for them for pushing the abilities of the Wii but please, don’t make bold statements that just aren’t true.

To be fair, that is looking really good for a Wii title.

That really does look good for a wii title, perhaps a good indication of things to come for the wii, would be nice to see the wii target some other markets

It seems about on par with the PS3 but no where close to what you get on the 360.

High Voltage never said their game would have 360 graphics power. As the Wii is incapable of high definition, this would be impossible. They said their game, unlike most Wii games, would use the same variety of graphic effects found in 360 games. I think they are fulfilling their promise. If many Wii fan-boys understood it wrongly, that is their fault
