Think Miklos will have something to say about the “Worst Game” award, I think he is still scarred from playing House MD 😉

Can’t agree more with Hot Pursuit being awarded racing game of the year. Also I feel sad seeing AC:Brotherhood not win best sandbox game but I guess it’s not as innovative as riding horses and being badass in the west. Some games like RDR only come once in a decade.
How did Fighters Uncaged beat Saw2? :dizzy:

Some nice choices there. Glad to see Bayonetta finally mentioned. Was a great game.
PES winning makes me smile, but I imagine the Fifa boys won’t be so pleased. Two great footie games imo.
Sport’s Champions has been one of my best purchases this year. Not an amazing game, but I can’t stop playing the table tennis!

What is Sin and Punishment 2? I’ve never heard of it. There’s so many games and so little time. Think I need a gaming holiday to catch up on all the games I haven’t played yet

Vanquish got a well deserved win, it has redefined how the genre should be played. I’m actually worried about GOW 3 when it comes out, Not being able to boost, flip over a wall go slow mo and take out a couple of guys before landing, popping a nade and running for safety, is going to make it seem soo slow and cumbersome…

So I guess Mass Effect is Lazygamer’s overall game of the year? If not we might have a serious problem on our hands.

Completely agree with COD: Black Ops being best FPS. I am busy playing it now and I am by the part where you think you John Nash and so far it has been a complete roller coaster drive.
I have to also agree with Need For Speed: HP. I played Blur and Split/Second earlier this year and although Blur had the promise of a Wipe Out on wheels I got bored with both far more quickly that I thought. However I have been playing NFS and I can’t wait to get into the next race or take down the next perps.
Glad to see Assassins Creed Brotherhood getting the nod as the runner up for Sandbox. I haven’t played RDR but I believe it was amazing.

Ja nee hey, there is no chance in Hades that Bayonetta or Castlevania are better games than God of War 3. Bad, bad lazygamer(s).
And even though I am not a fan of the genre, Need for Speed better that GT5? Puh-huh-leeezzeee :kissing:
Can’t argue with the rest of the list

Nice to see that PES won best sports game. Big respect! 🙂
Looking at that list there are still so many I haven’t played/finished!

Vanquish is the business, its by far the best shooter. Glad to see ME2 cracked the nod too.

Bah! House M.D. shouldn’t even be in that category because I still say that it isn’t a game. That being said, I totally voted for it. 😛

It’s a Wii shooter, sequel to a brilliant N64 game

Wow, some interesting choices there. Surprised to see Bayonetta pipping God of War 3.
Interesting that NFS has beaten GT5 in the Spike VGA’s as well. I remember playing Hot Pursuit 2 on my pc back in the day and LOVING it. Seems I might have to treat myself to the new one for Christmas 😀

I can just see the comments coming in for the vote for NFS winning and not GT5.

All round good choices.
I’ll bet Shinji Mikami would be amped to see Vanquish AND Bayonetta take an award 😀
And good on you guys for sticking to your guns and putting NFS above GT5.

Oddly enough people aren’t even upset by GT5’s lack of awards anywhere..

There are 3 awards missing:
Most outrageous statement by an Industry insider – Bobby Kotick
Best Digitised Female – Yvonne Strahovski (ME 2)
Biggest Disappointment – Star Wars the Force Unlashed 2

I can understand the lack of awards for GT5 but it’s been a bad year for racing games if NFS Hot Pursuit is the best we got… 😉

No otherwise I would have voted Reach above Black Ops… it’s based on the all round game. Well my vote was

Something I think would be nice to add to the awards, something I feel is always left out of awards, especially for collectors, is the best box art!
Also, how about an award for best limited/collected edition?!

The Best “Didn’t see that one coming” Game – The hit you never expected, the game that exceeded your most lowly expectations
Best Announcement – Be it new game, new IP, whatever
I like Milni’s box art suggestion.

How about ” the best so bad it’s good ” award. You could have games like Deadly Premonition as a nominee. Kudos to Bayonetta and Vanquish. Halo Reach and Kinect Sports should have won though
