The Old Republic gets Knights of the Fallen Empire

Star Wars: The old Republic, the MMO from EA is getting a new expansion that does its best to bring back the sort of storytelling players expect from Bioware – instead of the silly MMO nonsense that they’ve had to deal with.

It’s coming as a free expansion to the MMO, which is quite nice.

The largest story-driven expansion to date, Knights of the Fallen Empire, marks a renewed focus on cinematic storytelling in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The expansion will deliver on the hallmarks of what makes a great BioWare™ game: new worlds to explore, new companions to recruit, and a dynamic story that players will be able to shape based on the choices they make.

I had high hopes for the MMO, which was never really officially launched here. It didn’t hthe soul of Knights of Old Republic, which this expansion seems – or at least attempts – to rectify.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
