Rage

rAge seems to go in waves – some years it is absolutely excellent and other years I can get through the whole expo in a couple hours. This year, there are a ton of awesome games playable on the various stands, and you won’t want to miss them.

The list is quite extensive and some of the titles are quite surprising to me. Here are all the games (in alphabetical order to avoid favouritism) confirmed as playable at rAge:

  • Alien: Isolation
  • Amiibos
  • Assassin’s Creed: Rogue
  • Assassin’s Creed Unity
  • Bloodborne
  • Borderlands: The Presequel
  • Captain Toad
  • Destiny
  • Disney Infinity 2.0
  • Dying Light
  • Evolve
  • Far Cry 4
  • FIFA 15
  • Forza Horizon 2
  • Hyrule Warriors
  • Lego Batman 3
  • Little Big Platnet 3
  • Mario Kart 8
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • NBA 2K15
  • PES 2015
  • Pokemon Omega and Alpha
  • SingStar: Ultimate Party!
  • Skylanders: Trap Team
  • Splatoon
  • Super Smash Bros
  • Sunset Overdrive
  • The Crew
  • The Evil Within
  • The Order: 1886
  • Yoshi’s Wooly World

Beyond this, the Xbox stand will also have some extra Xbox Live games and even stuff for the Kinect. As a new console that has just launched, it’s also cool to hear that they will have 43 consoles at their stand for all of us to get our grubby hands on. I will definitely be carrying hand sanitiser with me.

Which of these make the show worthwhile for you? I’m certainly keen to take Geoff on at Mortal Kombat X, and I’d love to see if The Order: 1886 has improved gameplay since I saw it at E3 – I was so keen for that game until it disappointed me earlier this year. I will also be kicking anyone who tries to stop me from playing some Sunset Overdrive.

I’d highly recommend to anyone interested that you jump in the queue for Evolve. Not everyone will be able to play during rAge, but it’s totally worth the wait. I will graciously be avoiding playing – I’ve had tons of hands-on time and I know I need to share the toys with everyone else. But really, you should play it because it’s awesome.

Which game will you be rushing and pushing small children out the way in order to play? Are the Assassin’s Creed games calling you, or are you just going to assess if PES 2015 really is better than FIFA 15? Don’t forget to bring your 3DS – if you have Pokémon X or Y you can also pick up a Shiny Gengar to go with all your streetpasses. Oh, and I demand a lazygamer Splatoon faceoff – I will own you all!

Says a lot that every game on that list hasn’t been released yet (i.e. not finished) and Destiny is there as well 😉

Mortal Kombat, NBA, Evolve and Destiny. Only going to buy MK as I am done with the online play games and still busy with NBA2K14. Seriously looking forward to some MK! * Want to have a look at Dying Light as well *

Do people still play strategy games at rage these days? The one time I went a couple of us tried to play some Dawn of War, but mostly people were playing fps’s.

I don’t see The Witcher 3 on that list. The Witcher 3 trumps anything on that list. Is that why it’s called Rage.

As far as I know, there will be a demo/presentation awesome enough to make your eyes bleed, but no hands-on time.
