However there is a light at the end of the tunnel and right now it’s being provided by Joystiq who have had some hands on with a much newer console build and apparently the game is totally different, and awesome.
My biggest complaint was never about the bad graphics or glitches but more about the gameplay itself which just isn’t Battlefield.
The damage was completely overdone, the tactics just weren’t there and the map could have been ripped from MW3 for all we know.
However according to reports all these issues have been fixed and the newer version of Battlefield 3 plays much more like BFBC2 and is a far more enjoyable affair. Damage has been rectified, guns have been rebalanced and the bigger maps which allow for vehicles and real tactics are fantastic.
I can’t say how happy I am to hear this and I’m now once again looking forward to the release of Battlefield 3 in just a few weeks.
Check out this video of one of the larger maps to see some real Battlefield gameplay
Oh and while we are here let’s list all the multiplayer maps that are going to be in the final build (linked to video’s where possible)
