This is what Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass will get you

We’ve already told you what you’ll be getting with the Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass, but now Activision’s telling you again, in handy-dandy video form.

The pass will eventually include four whole new map packs; Onslaught, Devastation, Invasion and Nemesis. Each provides not only a collection of maps, but also bonus weapons. You’ll also get a sizeable upgrade to the wave-based alien-shooting Extinction mode.

ODIN? Hmmmm.

In addition to that you’ll get some bonus stuff you can use right away. The Team Leader Digital Pack will give you new multiplayer goodies, like a unique MP character head, weapon camo, reticule, player patch, player card and player background. you’ll also get the Free Fall map.

Activision’s also re-iterated its promise that if you buy a Season Pass for Xbox 360 or PS3 now, it’ll transfer over to your shiny new consoles if you upgrade to an Xbox One or PlayStation 4. As long as you upgrade before May 31 next year, that is.

I have to be a bit honest. I’ve given Ghosts a whirl and it has completely failed to impress me, or hold my interest very much. I’m not fan of military shooters to begin with, but Battlefield 4 (broken though it may be) is considerably more impressive in terms of technology, scope, and keeping me interested.

I’ve been dabbling in 64 player conquest matches on the olde PS4, and it’s actually – dare I say – pretty damned fun. It probably won;t keep me too engaged in the long-run, because “pew pew manshoot” but it’ll probably hold me over until there’s a great, single player RPG for me to get lost in.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
