Heroes of the Storm

The Heroes of the Dorm grand finale is taking place this weekend. Four college teams will go head to head to fight for a pretty sweet grand prize – a scholarship that covers their college career.

To celebrate the occasion, Blizzard will be hosting an event that grants a 50% XP bonus, and another that unlocks the entire Heroes of the Storm roster for everybody! Here’re the relevant dates…

Unlocked Heroes Event: April 8, 10:00 a.m. PDT (All Regions) – April 11, 10:00 a.m. PDT (All Regions)

50% Bonus XP Event: April 8, 10:00 a.m. PDT (All Regions) – April 18, 10:00 a.m. PDT (All Regions)

Unfortunately, the unlocked hero event will only span three days. Still, if you’ve been eyeing out a certain hero, particularly a newer, more expensive one, now is as good a time as any to test them out good and proper before coughing up gold/cash. The last few months alone have seen Lunara, Greymane, Li-Ming, Xul, and Dehaka added to the roster. There’s bound to be somebody you’ve not yet tried.

Personally, I’m looking forward to playing Greymane, Leoric, The Butcher, and even The Lost Vikings. Believe it or not, I’ve somehow not yet gotten around to playing any of those heroes – I keep missing them on the free weekly rotations!

Anyways, on top of the unlocked hero event, there’s a nice XP bonus to take advantage of too. It lasts a whole lot longer thankfully – a whopping 10 days.

Remember, if you party up with a friend, you’ll get an extra 50% experience. Thanks to my incredible mathematical ability, I’ve calculated that this means there’s a 100% XP boost waiting to be enjoyed until April 18th!

And yeah, that’s it. So who are you looking forward to playing as? Will you be following all the Heroes of the Dorm action?
