Valve Wants To Bring L4D Mods To Xbox 360, Pay The Creators

You have to love Valve. Seriously.

The only problem that people have had with Valve was the choice to release Left 4 Dead 2 so soon after the first one, but honestly, if you look at all the things that Valve have done in the best interests of the gamers people should just let that one slide.

So… the story.

Valve in all their awesome-ness have said something that everyone is always thinking and that is that it really sucks that console gamers don’t get to enjoy all of the cool mods that people make for the PC version.

Valve had the following to say:

“One of the things I’d like to do is to allow these modules that are being released on PC to somehow integrate with Microsoft’s system,”

“We’ll have to filter them, we can’t allow any copyrighted materials, so it’s going to have to go through a process … And you know, if they are a paid system, perhaps that could go back to the authors. I think that would be a great story.”

Now we all know that Microsoft like to have things paid for but what a great idea Valve has. If they are going to put up mods for DLC, why not have a chunk of the money go back to the very people that spent the time to make them.

Read  Unsurprisingly, Activision made extraordinary amounts of money on microtransactions last year

Good on you Valve, I really like the way that you think. If only the process was a whole lot simpler.
