VS Gaming Championship at Comic Con prize pools revealed

The prize pools for the VS Gaming Championships have been made public. This is for all teams participating in the VS Gaming Championships at Comic Con Africa between 14 – 16 September at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and International Convention Center. This is probably the most anticipated local esports event of the year, outside of the VS Gaming Masters CS:GO and Dota 2 tournament also happening on the same weekend.

Here are the prize pools the teams have been working towards across four legs of online competition this year.

VS Gaming Championship prize pool breakdown

League of Legends (8 teams)

  • 1st – R 42,800
  • 2nd – R 21,400
  • 3rd – R 12,800
  • 4th – R 8,500

Overwatch (8 teams)

  • 1st – R 51,400
  • 2nd – R 25,700
  • 3rd – R 15,400
  • 4th – R 10,200

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (16 teams)

  • 1st – R 42,800
  • 2nd – R 21,400
  • 3rd – R 12,800
  • 4th – R 8,500

Dota 2 (16 teams)

  • 1st – R 42,800
  • 2nd – R 21,400
  • 3rd – R 12,800
  • 4th – R 8,500

Call of Duty World War 2 | PS4 (8 teams)

  • 1st – R 34,200
  • 2nd – R 17,100
  • 3rd – R 10,200
  • 4th – R 6,800

Rocket League (8 teams)

  • 1st – R 25,700

  • 3rd – R 7,700

Battlefield 4 (8 teams)

      I’m pretty sure as long as it’s not a Nintendo game, or you’re not restreaming Dota, you’ll be fine.
