If you’ve been wanting to get into Starcraft 2, but just haven’t felt inclined to throw down some cash for the full version, then Blizzard has a solution for you. They’ve recently repackaged the demo of Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty into a “starter pack”, an introduction into the game that will give curious players a more solid introduction to the popular real time strategy game, instead of just another vanilla demo.

Provided that you have an internet connection and a Battle.net account, you’ll be able to download the extended demo, which includes the first three Mar Sara missions, with players then getting to choose a fourth campaign scenario from either Starcraft characters Dr. Hanson or Tychus Findlay.

In addition to the campaign maps, gamers will also get a some challenge scenarios, a small selection of multiplayer maps, and their own custom in-game map, content which may be replaced occasionally. Achievements may also be earned within these levels, and carry through into the main game should players decide to purchase it, while they can also track their position online in the Starcraft universe.

So, sound enticing enough to you yet? Then head on over to Battle.net and sign up for the starter pack. Go go go!
