Want to watch THE DARK KNIGHT RISES a few days early?

Let’s be honest here, waiting in line on opening day for a highly-anticipated movie is for chumps and chumpettes. Real winners see the upcoming blockbuster days in advance, then blab about it to friends.

With The Dark Knight Rises scheduled for the 27th of July, you can bet your buns that it’s going to be sold out within minutes. Or, you could go watch it five days early, and wear your gloating hat the following morning in the office.

Ster Kinekor will be holding a pre-release screening of the latest Batman chapter on 22 July, at practically all their cinemas. Want in on it? Well then head to their website, find the location closest to you and book a ticket online, it’s that simple.

I’ve already got myself a ticket booked for 12, at the Bridge shopping centre Ster Kinekor theatre, so come say hi to the Batman fanatic in the appropriate T-Shirt if you’re also going to go watch early.

It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.

But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

I’ll be at the 15:30 show at Bayside, if anybody wants to join. Since I’ll have watched the press screening a few days earlier, you will easily recognize me as the guy standing at the cinema entrance shouting random spoilers to people as they enter.
