Xbox 360 S

With all the news flying around about Gamescom and Kinect it quickly became apparent that we still don’t have an official release date the for the redesigned Xbox 360.

I dropped an email to Microsoft and this is the official answer as of today the 17th of August 2010.

  • We are getting the Halo Reach Limited Edition Console
  • It won’t release day on date with Halo Reach
  • It will release with the new Xbox 360 towards the end of September beginning of October
  • The Limited and Legendary Editions of Halo Reach will be released locally on time

All the Halo Reach stuff is limited in quantity so if you want one place your order now.

So that’s it, nothing exciting is going to happen until the beginning of October which just happens to be the rAge weekend… I smell a marketing plan.

If you have any other questions let me know and I will happily annoy our local representatives and try get an answer.

That sucks, what’s the use of releasing the Halo console if it’s not available on the Halo launch… fail!

Something tells me the new console will do just fine in South Africa, especially since the price is actually fairly reasonable.
