Nintendo has announced that unless consumer interest in it’s Wii Speak peripheral it will start to phase the product out of existence.
Now it’s not like I ever had any intention of buying this thing but I am surprised to see it’s already released and we didn’t know about it.
Mind you as much as I love the Wii I have never once put it online, it just isn’t designed for that in my humble opinion.
But if you want a Wii speak before it’s inevitable death I would recommend ordering one now… though I doubt stock is a problem right now.

It would have helped if they had done something cool with it. Make it compatible for more games! Make more games online multiplayer so people can actually get some use for it! Instead of just for Animal Crossing. The ones at our store have been collecting dust since they came out.
