Women fined R228 601 for sharing mediocre game

Evil Pirate A women in the UK has been found guilty of pirating a game (Dream Pinball 3D) over a P2P network and has been fined R228 601.

What makes this even worse is that the game has received reviews ranging from 3.8/10 to 7.9/10…

However that is no excuse for piracy and especially when there is a demo stage of the game available.

Hopefully this is the first in a long line of convictions that will send the right message to the people out there. Gaming is not a right and if you don’t feel the game is worth the selling price then don’t buy it. It’s really that simple and there is no excuse for being a filthy pirate.

Though even I have to admit that the fine is a little heavy, you can be she is going to think twice before doing that again.

Another lesson is that “women” is the plural. 😛 I thought that there might be a female pirating group…

This is absolutely ridiculous, sure pirating is illegal and wrong , but how many people can honestly say that they don’t own one illegal mp3 , or a trademarked image? How about an old game you can no longer buy but has not been made free yet? I honestly hope there is more to this story.

Yes, we all probably own some form of pirated software, movies or music. But I for sure as hell won’t go put it up for sharing on the Internet.

Agreed, I was also confused by that title. I was hoping for a scandal on a female pirating group, but the first line of the article made it all clear by stating: “A women in the UK…”
Also in the Too Human Article its stated: “…and dedicated to many of their resources to the hugely successful Gears of War.”
The first “to” should be “too”, right? Like in the title of the game: “To Human” would make a lot less sense.
I know we come from South Africa, where plurals are lying in the gutter being kicked by Hobos from Benoni, but let us put some effort here 🙂
But please don’t get me wrong, I love the work you guys do and I know it’s a lot of effort for little reward, so we(the readers) should appreciate anything we get… And we do!

    Please accept my apologies…

I try to keep the writing standard high but I have problems with to/too, your/you’re and there/their

I’ll concentrate more and with Nick back I will actually have some space to breath and check these things.

OddSock’s going to have my hide for this 😛

Well she was handed 10 000 pounds worth of court costs so I guess she fought it…

The other amount was the specific fine
