Now here is an idea that I expected Microsoft to have implemented many years ago as it’s now common practice in business to reward your loyal clients and the Xbox Live Arcade seems to be the perfect candidate for a rewards system.
This latest rumour has come about thanks to an email that has been sent to selected Xbox Live members that reads
“This is an exclusive pilot rewards program. That means that the people who get in get stuff. Cool stuff. You want cool stuff, right? Sure you do, we all want stuff. Especially cool stuff. Well, you’ve only got until October 21, 2009 to let us know you want cool stuff, because after that, the doors close and someone else gets the cool stuff.
So, you click the button below and register to let us know you want in and pretty soon we’ll let you know if you got in or not – and not everyone will (that’s why it’s called exclusive).
This offer is for a select few – you can’t send it to anyone else (why would you send something this awesome to someone else, are you nuts?). If you make the cut, you can pass or opt-out whenever you want.
But then you’ll never know how it endedâ€
That’s all we know for now but I can see a system where you get points for buying games, DLC and avatar items working quite nicely. Especially if publishers would be allowed to reward gamers for being in the first 100 to unlock an achievement or for hosting multiplayer games…
So were any of you a selected live member?

hmmmm … I’ve been a live member (according to my profile) for 4 years, and I haven’t received anything 🙁 boo I have a feeling this is probably going to be something available only to the US Region…

This reeks of a phishing scam.. Has anyone that matters actually seen one of these emails and where they link to?

I received the email. It takes you to a survey with 5 multiple choice questions that you need to complete.

Would you mind emailing me the questions? (lazysagamer@lazygamer.co.za)

smells like a scam, you got a better chance of being violated by Megan Fox then winning this thing. And is only probably available in countries where Live exists
