It really sucks to have to be the bearer of bad news when the news disappoints me more than most of the people reading it.
Test Drive Unlimited 2, the sequel to what was essentially a launch title in South Africa has now been delayed to 2011 so that Eden Games can polish up the very important online multiplayer component of the console versions, that sets TDU apart from other racers.
TDU2 adds Ibiza as a playable location as well as bringing back its MMO-inspired racing angle. Test Drive Unlimited 2 will be available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC during the first quarter of 2011.

That’s a pity. The first test drive actually rocked my socks off on the xbox 360, maybe it’s because you have this stunning Hawaiian island to explore, plenty of cars to buy and lots of races to compete in. The handling of the cars were fine, although in hindsight the motorbike sections were rather poor.
I haven’t been following the news on the sequel but I might just get it when its released (PS3 obviously).

I think its a good move.
Releasing anytime close to GT5 would be suicide.
