How much time do you spend playing mobile games?

Because you’re reading this here, it’s almost safe to assume that you’re sort that most would brand as a “hardcore” gamer. The sort that want real interactive experiences and who aren’t all that keen to hurl enraged avians at verdant swine, except perhaps when waiting in a queue behind the obligatory, moaning, old (and always white) lady who keeps asking to speak to the manager and threatening to phone 702.

Still, even amid the casual fluff there are some really compelling, dare I say good games available on phones and tablets.

If you follow any of us on Twitter, you’d know that we’ve all been gushing over Kingdom Rush on the iPad (though who seriously carries their tablets around, other than douchey hipsters?) – and it’s probably one of the best games I’ve played all year. Halfbrick’s Jetpack Joyride, though falling under that casual umbrella is another game that we’ve all become horribly addicted to. Not long ago, just about everybody I know was playing the online Pictionary clone Draw Something.

While companies like Gameloft and GetGlu have been trying to fit full-featured games on to smaller devices for ages, others like EA are attempting to fit console-like gaming experiences with varying degrees of success to mobile devices with games like Dead Space and Mass Effect Infilitrator – but I don’t really want to get in to the debate of whether or not mobile games are eating in to traditional gaming.

Rather, from those of you with smartphones and tablets – I’d like to know how much time do you spend playing mobile games, and what games you’re playing.
