20 April marked the inaugural 2013 MWEB Online Dota 2 Championship. 14 teams signed up for a chance to qualify for the National Team trials which will determine our Protea team to take on Romania later this year.

Unsurprisingly we saw some big names competing including Bravado Gaming and Energy eSports, two teams who are becoming regular rivals in the finals of just about every local Dota 2 competition out there. Regulars Team Immersion was right up there too, proving just why they are worthy opponents. These are the nine teams who qualified for the National Team Trials:

BVD were at OC this weekend
OC got the LAN servers for dota 2
They booked out 2 rows so they could get the BVD and alienware flags up with their new alienware rigs

with OC having the LAN servers, we can expect to see our big teams getting some more public awareness up and some big money going into monthly tournaments.
