GTAVPCMaybe (1)

It seems a few clueless PC gamers have gotten ahead of themselves with their anticipation for a PC version of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V. A version of the game found its way to the seedy underbelly of the internet, and was downloaded en masse by pirates.

Because you lot are clued up, you know that no such PC version of the game currently exists, and as you’d expect, the fake PC version of GTA is riddled with malware. It seems it was easy to be duped though. According to WCCFTech though, it was easy to be conned. The download file was a rather realistic 18gb, and came with a pretty legit looking installer.

gtapc

They also say that the torrent is “a verified, unreported torrent and has a very high SEO ranking,” which likely conned thousands of users in to thinking the download was legitimate. So yeah, you probably shouldn’t download an illicit copy of GTA V should you tumble upon it on the internet. If you already have, well, this is all I have to say:

nelson

PC gamers most certainly want to get in on that GTA action ; though it seems to be broken now, over 610 thousand people have signed that petition to bring the game over to PC.

It could be happening sooner than you think, too. The latest AMD Catalyst drivers s seem to reference a PC version of the game.

But there is a LOT more piracy on pc games than console games, which is why A LOT of console games don’t get ported to the PC. If you ignore the facts, well then I guess you’re the muppet.

I don’t what facts you are talking about. Sounds more like assumptions to me. So if we look at this logically, there are more gamers on consoles than there are on PC. So there will be more piracy on consoles than on PC. You can still play online with a pirated console.

There has been studies on PC piracy. Those studies could be used more factually. So one study suggests that PC piracy numbers are not that high as people are lead to believe. And then another study suggests that people who pirate games, actually buys more games than those not pirating.
Piracy is essentially, free advertising. Not theft as many are lead to believe. The studies shows us this.

Why are console games not ported over to PC. Because they make so much more money from console games than with PC games. Not just more money but money money faster. Hence this big push for day 1 sales.
Then there’s corporate business deals, which is easier on consoles.

So don’t use selective “facts”. Consoles sees high piracy numbers that just don’t get talked about. Don’t call people muppets when they making proper points to the argument.

You’re going to sit there and tell me more consoles games get pirated than PC games? What delusional world do you live in? LOL. You’re the one using ‘selective facts’ bro.. Why hasn’t Madden been on PC since 2008? Along with so many other titles? Oh yeah, BECAUSE EA SAID THEMSELVES THEY WANT TO AVOID THE PC PIRACY. Thanks for playing.

Why else would they not release it on the PC genius? If PC isn’t being pirated as much, like you say, then why would they cut themselves out of an obvious profit? Are you a dope or just on dope?

          • Don't keep quiet

            February 16, 2015 at 09:16

It seems propaganda does work on you. I mentioned 2 studies done on piracy and you didn’t address that and still blame your why’s on piracy. Which is just not true nor the case.

You mentioned Madden which is a yearly released series. Adding another platform like the PC means more time or more people to development and optimization. PC game sales are not that great when compared to consoles. Why is Madden not on PC because the sales won’t justify the costs of more time or more people.

If we look at pre-orders in the USA only. Top console game is The Order 1866 with 202 000 pre-orders. Top PC game on pre-order is sitting at 18 000 for Batman AK.

            That is your why.

Logic dictates that if a gaming platform has the most users and that platform can be pirated, then there will be more pirated games for that platform.

You are just saying that there is more piracy on PC than on consoles but that’s all you saying without explaining.

So yes I will tell you that there is more piracy on consoles than there is on PC. I’m not muppet for falls for propaganda from corporations.

          • Just to add.

            February 16, 2015 at 09:38

Just to add. I used pre-order numbers. So let me use 2013 numbers for the year. Just to show the why this guy keeps linking to piracy.

Top sales for the year went to GTA 5 PS3 with over 16 million. 2nd place GTA 5 Xbox 360 with over 13 million.
Top selling PC game of 2013 Star Craft 2 with over 1.2 million. Now digital sales are not added to that. But I highly doubt that digital sales accounted to more than 16 million sales. My guess maybe 2 million digital sales. So top selling PC game with 3.2 million compared to the 16 million from the PS3.

I don’t know what logic you use. But if there is no more piracy of PC. PC game sales are not going to jump up to 16 million. My guess sales will get worse.
But anyway. There is no reasoning with your type of propaganda bullshit.

Want to play HALF of the library for Playstation 3 and 4 on your pc? Sorry..

Riddle me this genius: Why would they cut themselves out of such an obvious profit, and not release it on the pc? I’ll wait…

Anyway. not going to bother with you. Unless if you can bring those cold hard facts. Numbers, especially money numbers, is why you will find all your answers. But you have to troll piracy like an idiot instead. You actually believe in your piracy bullshit right. How easy it must be to control the masses, by repeating something over and over again. Consoles have done nothing but drag the industry into a dumbed down state. Many developers took the easy option & migrated to make tame, linear games which where gonna sell well for little work. Keep the games simple and thought free to please the retards. Sadly the console world is migrating to PC architecture. Time to evolve gummybears!

I remember back in my unenlightened days I was browsing torrents & the one game had a comment about it being infected with some or other virus, and the uploader replied it’s just a false positive & no one should worry about it. So much of lol.

Actually I don’t care if you are a pirate or not. Same way I don’t really care if my friends smoke weed or not. It does not influence how I would do things in any way. I prefer to go legal with games because it is within my means. It does not mean that my hands are squeaky clean. So long story short not everyone here is a hypocrite.

Since they have more money for real gaming systems (and not cheap console toys), I doubt they “dwell in basements”…and they probably get more ass than you could ever masturbate to over your pirated porn. Grow up, kid…gaming on PC doesn’t mean you’re tied to a mouse, keyboard and a little monitor. Here’s a “shock” for you:
          A. PCs can be hooked up to TVs.
          B. PCs can use any controller.
          C. PCs make you butthurt.
          D. You fail.

Maybe you don’t mind fucking laggy games, since you’re used to playing on a chapass piece of shit console that does under 30 FPS at 720p, but I do, and i’d never want to play my games on a laggy, low res TV…

I play on 3 2560×1080 ultra wide monitors, bitch, I’d like to see your shit toy console control so many pixels without crashing after 2 seconds and 1 frame…

Also, computers can use more than stereo, if you weren’t a retarded console peasant, you’d know that.

My fucking headphones cost more than your shitty joke of a console… So fuck off.

yeah I don’t think most people really understand how much is actually considered piracy. even downloading a copyrighted image is technically piracy, a lot of the details are ambiguous which I believe is so owners of the copyrights can sort of make the decision for themselves.

You’re right…and if you think about it, online “piracy” (theft) is a myth since the original is NEVER removed. Only a mere copy is shared…a copy which the downloader would probably never purchase in the first place. Copyright (and the bitchfest over “piracy”) is just a pretext to create artificial scarcity and to control the channels of distribution while monitoring legitimate consumers and their spending habits. It’s a huge corporate scam…copyright is an antiquated notion which has no place in the digital age. It needs heavy reform since it no longer protects the actual creators (which WAS the intended purpose). When it comes to online “piracy,” it’s as real as that fake torrent. Fact.

It’s pretty obvious Rock$tar pulled a fast one…it’s called “a honey pot,” for those of you who are completely clueless. After both console versions were on Pirate Bay FIVE DAYS BEFORE RELEASE, it’s clear that:
    A. Rock$tar wanted to see if a PC version would be heavily pirated too.
    B. Console gamers are thieving hypocrites who pirate not only games, but other stuff too.
    C. Bitching about a “PC Master Race” is nothing but typical console peasant hypocrisy.

In a nutshell, Rock$tar created a fake torrent full of crap and a few n00bs got suckered…while the peasants continue to gloat over a glitchy version of a game which looks and plays like crap. I’m sticking with San Andreas and GTA4…both heavily modded, better and more fun than anything you’ll ever play on antiquated hardware.

TPB is actually one of the best torrent sites out there along with KAT and the soon to return demonoid (no I can’t invite anyone, don’t even ask). People who get viruses, malware, spyware or whatever you want to call it; are the people who don’t know what they’re doing (which is sad considering how easy it is). there’s so many ways to spot a fake torrent that you’ll only ever end up with minor issues that any basic security can handle if you know what you’re doing.

You conveniently “forgot” to mention a few facts:
      A. Steam sales of GTA4 PC which are NOT included in that figure.
      B. A poor / lazy port of GTA4 which many PC gamers avoided like the plague.
      C. Rock$tar’s business model of the GTA series: consoles first, PC a few months later.

“…then you should know why no GTA V PC”…umm yeah, at this time. Big deal.

I realize the eventual PC version will look and play much better…even if this will upset the console peasants (as it always does).

Well kids, enjoy your glitchy “exclusive” for a few more months. LOL

in my opinion is do not release GTA V PC due to will lost many profits,or gain 8,lost 2

I dunno why so many people say GTA 4 was bad on PC. I bought 2 copies of it, and installed it on 2 different PCs. Worked fine. It was important to install the latest patch, maybe a lot of PC owners didn’t do that. so it got a bad rep. But the game ran fine on both my PCs. And another thing, the video editor was superb. I’m hanging out for a video editor in GTA V PC.. or something equivalent for making animations and messing around with replays of epic game action.
