Though we’ve heard roughly nothing about the game, we all know that there’s a new Uncharted game coming for the PlayStation 4. It’s obviously already under development, though it’ll be a hard act to follow for Naughty Dog after its latest game’s won just about every award under the sun. what we do know though, is that the game is going to be rather good indeed.
That’s according to one of the voice actors in the game, Todd Stashwick, who took to Twitter to tease fans with tiny tid-bits. (via Spawnfirst)
@Zahid3489 it’s going great. It’s going to be a tremendous game.

Nathan Drake’s voice actor, Nolan North – who you usually hear in everything – has been curiously quiet of late. there’s no word on whether Drake even appears in the new Uncharted, though it just wouldn’t be the same without him.
We also have no idea when it’s coming – but expect to wait. Amazon reckons the next game in the Uncharted series is only going to be released in 2015, replacing an earlier placeholder that pegged it for release this year.
My hope is that it’s better than Uncharted 3. I didn’t really enjoy that game very much; it started out well enough, telling an interesting story, but the second half of the game devolved in to a gauntlet of uninteresting gunfights repeated ad-nauseum. I found playing it to be quite a chore, where I rather enjoyed just about every single second of Uncharted 2 (itself ruined at the end by supernatural mumbo-jumbo).
Still, I’m excited for a new Uncharted, mostly too see what Naughty Dog is capable of doing with the PS4.

I don’t hate on Uncharted. I hate on Uncharted 3! 😛

And so you should! Uncharted 3 was an average game at best.

Calling it simply average is very harsh. If it’s average, I’d love to read your comparsions for other genuinely average games.

I was lucky with both Ass Creed 3 and Uncharted 3 was my first in each series (PS+ free FTW)so I played and enjoyed since I didn’t have any expectations.
Uncharted 3 actually got me to purchase 1 and 2.

I loved uncharted 3! I agree with the ending of Uncharted 2 though. I have high hopes for Uncharted 4…wait, they didn’t give it a number on the teaser, so Uncharted (on PS)4

Like most trilogies. The third always leave a bad taste in ones mouth after the expectations that’s created after the second one.

While I realise you said “most” – Mass Effect 3 says hi.

Not the ending though. Which also goes for the way The Matrix Trilogy ended

I loved the ending of ME3.
Matrix 3 was garbage front to back.

It makes you realise how futile everything we are and will ever do as a species is when you look at the Universe as a whole. It hits home.
You know what they say, people can’t handle the truth.

Never thought of the ending like that….. very interesting

Its a powerful message. One that they set up, I think intentionally. They hyped up about all this choice, and with the ending your choices didn’t matter one bit. Its a brilliant piece of writing.
In a movie, far fewer people would’ve complained. In a book, nobody. My 0.02c

It would make a world of sens if that were their intentions, but we know they effed up

Uncharted 2 is in my top 3 PS3 titles. There’s no doubt that Naughty Dog will push the PS4 to do amazing things with Uncharted 4… but the story better not blow. The writers have their work cut out for them.

Uncharted series definitely one of my favorites. Planning to buy PS4 later this year so hopefully there will be enough games to keep me busy till 2015 release.

I Think that Uncharted should ended with a trilogy just like most franchise should. God of war Acenson was a dissapointed compared to the GOW III Masterpiece imo, but it’s still awesome without a doubt. Halo 4 is the least halo I enjoyed but that’s just me i guess :P, and who can forget Gears judgement one of the worst game i ever played. The franchise usually end up being the number 2 or 3 is the best like uncharted, Halo etc etc. However, there are still some exception like Metal gear solid 4, Fallout 3, last vegas, or Skyrim the best 2011 game. Imho They should make a new IP or The last of us 2 ( althought there is rumors that they already working on it ).
While that being said, I still gonna jizzed when this game come out XD, i mean come on, It’s THE Naughty F*cking Dog game !!!

While I agree that some games simply lose steam after 3, and even some storylines are only made for 3 iterations to be made, there are some franchises that I think can go further than that simply because of the amount of real world stories we can use to adapt to such a storyline. For example, there’s an estimated $60 billion in gold, laying at the bottom of the Earth’s oceans, and that’s just monetary, that has nothing to do with mysticism related wealth.
Couple that with the mysticism/legends/myths that’ve been passed down throughout human history and a game like Uncharted could have a great deal of iterations, the only concern is going overboard or taking it a bit too far beyond believability, while being able to immerse us in gloriously beautiful settings/surroundings.
And besides, it really never gets old seeing how much Drake gets the shit kicked out of himself in the course of a game. I mean, we’re easily talking Die Hard levels of punishment here.

This is exactly what I scared of. the teaser trailer of Uncharted 4 seem like that we wil play sully as a main character rather than drake :(.

Uncharted 3 was an amazing game. Agreed that it didn’t live up to the 2nd one storywise, but the gameplay may have been better in my opinion. And there’s nothing wrong with “supernatural mumbo-jumbo”. All the Indiana Jones movies had supernatural elements and nobody complained.

The second game was the best but i think the 3rd one was better than the 1st.. Im so excited for the 4th one but everybody has really high expectations, hope it can live up to the expectations, both graphics and story
