Midweek Mouth-off: So sick of that mug!

Last week we discussed overrated directors. This week we want to know what acclaimed and/or popular performers you just cannot stand?

Are you over Johnny Depp’s quirkiness? Is Angelina Jolie both unsexy and the world’s most unconvincing action heroine? Is Jason Statham as dull as a pile of sawdust? Does the bile tickle the back of your tongue every time Julia Roberts unleashes her signature smile?

What actors you do hate that the world evidently loves?

Matthew McConaughey always smiling with his Southern drawling accent. Always cooking and throwing that dry cloth over his shoulder. You know the scene. Because it’s in every bloody one of his movies!

    And Johnny Depp’s quirkiness.

I know she’s not “acclaimed” or even necessarily popular, but Kristen Steward has a face I want to smack every time I see it. I would go watch Snow White and the Huntsman, if she wasn’t in it.

Easy. My immortal nemesis: Channing Tatum. How is it possible that the no-talent douche from Step Up is now headlining blockbusters? What voodoo is this? He’s like this generation’s Keanu Reeves. Only not as accomplished an actor.

Jonah Hill. The most repulsive actor in the world, physically and in terms of the vile, unlikeable characters he plays.

Sheesh. In the world? That’s a bit harsh, hey? I mean we live in a world where Gary Busey and Nick Nolte exists.

What I meant was his level of repulsiveness not his acting ability. He’s an amazing actor, but he is certifiably mad, hence the repulsiveness.

You take that back about Angelina Jolie…

Also, Gérard Depardieu, man he annoys the crap out of me whenever I see him

Angelina Jolie used to be hot as hell. Nowadays she’s a coat rack with a smile. Jeez, I know that she’s all for championing the cause of impoverished kids, but she doesn’t have to look like them too.

That guy who plays in romantic comedies as a handsome yet slightly awkward Englishman. Every. Single. Time. Hugh Grant you lost your charm bud. Shia LaBeouf is also not one of my favourites, and strangely enough, never been a fan of any of Charlie’s Angels in any of their roles (save for Drew in ET and Riding in Cars with Boys, and Cameron in the Shreks and My Sister’s Keeper)

But but but but but ……..ET!!!!!!!!!

Actually, one person who does annoy me is Elijah Wood. I have yet to see him in a role where I have not either been annoyed or just flat out loathed him.

He isn’t and actor. He is someone who acts as if he can act but look closely and you’ll just see performance tics and a steadfast adherence to the words in the script
