Is it a bird? is it a plane? Nope, it's a fresh rumour about a Superman video game being in development!

While the traditional Supeman costume was still largely intact, it had been modernised. A higher collar, more seam lines and a complete absence of the signature underoos that Superman had worn for decades. Further tweaks would be applied to the super-suit, but the red trunks would remain absent through all of these alterations. Until now that is, as Superman is finally getting his underwear back.

DC Comics have always had a somewhat workable solution to decades of baggage: Reboots. Kicking off with Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1985, DC would flip the switch again with soft tweaks in Zero Hour: Crisis in Time in 1994, Infinite Crisis in 2005 and the larger ramifications of 2011’s Flashpoint Paradox that led to the birth of the New 52 universe. A universe which has now been rebooted once again, with very little fanfare or announcement in the latest issue of Action Comics.

DC’s Rebirth isn’t just a catchy event name that builds on history. It’s an actual Rebirth for its greatest hero,as Superman will be reborn.
