Question of the Week: L33t SkillZorz in RL

By Nick De Bruyne

QOTW_RL.jpg Question of the Week is back, which means it’s Monday! Last week we had to give it a skip because I was running around in the bush with the Far Cry 2 developers, so I do apologise. For those of you who don’t speak “Halo” or even “Counter-Strike”, the title is pretty simple. I want to know if you have ever used any knowledge or skill that you learned from videogaming in the real world. Held your breath whilst firing a rifle for the first time? What about the time you impressed your grandparents with some World War 2 knowledge, thanks to Call of Duty? Let us know your awesome story and you could win yourself a copy of ** for the **. If you don’t write us a story then you can’t win anything, so do it!

Two things were set in stone this weekend at rage regarding Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock, firstly Megarom, the Lair and Gamerlobby can pull of some really great competitions and secondly DarthPenguin sure as hell can play Guitar Hero, although he’s rather lucky he’s playing on expert cause if he played on medium he would have to face me. …

I don’t know what it is about wrestling but even though I know it’s not entirely real I just love to watch it. It’s like a soap opera with copious amounts of violence and way more excitement. Previously our only option in this space was to pick up a copy of THQ’s RAW (based on the WWE) and I am …

Question of the Week: Guilty Pleasure

By Nick De Bruyne

QOTWguilty.jpg Howdy folks and welcome back to Question of the Week. Last weeks question had our readers telling us their stories of ultimate and absolute pwnage and although some of the stories involved some awesome gaming skills, a lot of you guys seem to have been blessed with some serious luck. I have posted the winner's name up after the jump below. Remember that if you don't tell us your story, you can't win a prize, so get involved or lose out! So now that that's out of the way, let's get down to the fun stuff. This Weeks Question: Did you ever play (and really enjoy) a game in secret because your friends would think you were lame? So, for this week's question I really want you guys to spill the beans. We have all played a game at one point or another that was considered so lame that your friends would no longer be able to see you as the hardcore "l33t pWnZor" that you are. Problem is, you really loved it and probably put more hours into it than you ever would have originally anticipated. Thanks to the latest offerings from Nintendo, titles like these are a dime a dozen.... Tell us your tale and you could win yourself a free copy of **********, courtesy of Ster Kinekor. Just a quick note before I announce the winner, the judging for the Question of the Week is going to be done a little differently. To keep things fair, all accepted entries will now be put into a randomiser and the winner will then be chosen electronically using Random.org, as was done with the winner of last weeks prize.... Your gaming skills and a stroke of randomised luck have earned you a new "beat-down simulator". You can check out last weeks' question as well as the stories that people wrote by clicking here.

We were down at SterKinekor Games recently and noticed that they had a pile of games lying around that needed a new home. So when they turned there back we grabbed them and made a hasty exit. So here is what we managed to swipe. 2 X Devil May Cry 4 (360) 2 X Bioshock (PC) 1 X NBA Ballers …
