The Destiny 2 multiplayer suite of PvP activity should be a highlight of the product that will create a foundation for the sequel once it goes free to play…right? Not exactly, because ever since it first launched in 2017, Destiny 2’s PvP has not been in a healthy shape. It’s not that it isn’t fun from time to time, but it seldom reaches the highs of Destiny 1’s amazing multiplayer. Time to change all that, as Bungie has some big plans for the future of its multiplayer mode.

In a livestream yesterday, Bungie detailed just how Armour 2.0 will impact on Destiny 2 and introduce a new activity to plan builds around. Here’s a brief recap of what was revealed last night.

Having a ton of missions is great in Destiny 2, whether it be a quest to fire up one of the forges to create Exotic new death-dealers or dropping onto Nessus to complete Solstice of Heroes objectives. Bungie just kicked off a new three-part series on their website where they’re detailing what kind of changes players can expect to face within Destiny 2 once Shadowkeep rolls around in October.
