The next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' cinematic MonsterVerse: an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history.

Enough of that, it’s time to make a movie with a victor. Godzilla vs Kong wants to be that movie. Starring the Kaiju King in a rematch with the biggest ape to ever walk the planet, director Adam Wingard is planning to have this remake of the classic 1962 film settle the score once and for all.

Godzilla has been the undisputed king of the Kaijus for decades now. Dozens of films, reboots and comic books have created not just a legend, but an icon. One area where Godzilla hasn’t reigned supreme however? Anime. It’s weird when you think about it, but Godzilla has never ever had an Anime movie featuring the infamous boss-level walking extinction event. Until now that is. The first such film releases later this year, called Godzilla: Monster Planet.

Legendary Pictures have announced a more details, which will now be known as Pacific Rim: Uprising and Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.
