This is a nice story to come across, I was a little worried that EA would be closing ranks after it’s new IP’s that were released last year didn’t blow away the competition on their first outing. However their VP of communication, Jeff Brown, has come out and confirmed EA’s commitment to trying out new IP’s and taking chances in …

EA, in conference call today revealed some of their sales figures for the last quarter of 2008. Valve’s zombie-tastic co-op shooter Left 4 Dead has managed to sell 1.8 million retail copies on PC and Xbox 360. Naturally, this excludes copies of the game sold through Valve’s own Steam service. by David de Gasperi I have to be honest, when I first heard and saw the game play demonstrations, as well as trailers for Mirror’s Edge, I was slightly skeptical about the whole concept, and among other things, what really baffled me at that point was: what sort of story line could they possibly put to a game like this? …

I personally think Mirror’s Edge is a great game so if you haven’t given it a try yet then spoil yourself this weekend and download that demo. …

Gamers will only have themselves to blame next year when EA decides to release half baked remakes of dodgy titles instead of actually innovating and releasing new IP’s. EA have already come out this year and said that they are going to be missing their sales forecasts and as such are going to be slashing costs by firing people and …

Real Life Mirror's Edge

I have an unhealthy attraction to Mirror’s Edge and I am sure it’s beacuse I just can’t believe that people do stuff like this in real life. Not the running away from police and beating the snot out of the cops, that happens all the time. I mean the jumping, swinging and impossibly cool climbing that Faith manages to do …

It was announced before Mirror’s Edge was released that Sony had cut an exclusive marketing agreement with EA with some exclusive downloadable content included. Well the first DLC is about to be released and it does look pretty awesome, I am not sure how long it will be enjoyable for though as I miss the cityscape. The DLC is going …
