This isn’t a redux of those games that have amazing soundtracks, but rather the 2018 releases which used all the parts of beefy audio buffalo to their full extent. Every sound, no mater how minor, plays a huge part in selling the escape from reality that a video game should be. Here’s a look at the games, that did it best.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy already looks stunning thanks to the amount of work that Toys For Bob have poured into that trio of remastered games, but they didn’t stop there. To really give Spyro the love he deserved, Toys For Bob went to great lengths to remaster every single piece of original audio that the studio could get their hands on.
Games like Call of Duty made grenades a more interesting resource that was available in abundance. A small ball of explosives and shrapnel was never far away, to the point where attempting to throw a grenade as revenge in the final milliseconds before death caught up to you became second nature. Grenades are pretty much an afterthought in the genre, albeit an expected feature. Call of Duty WW2 wants to change those expectations, especially in the audio department.
