What’s in an Xbox? Lots apparently! If there’s one message that Microsoft seems hellbent on emphasising with their next video game console, it’s power. Pure power in a raw form that’ll pave the way for games to not only look better but perform beyond the norm and load quicker than ever before.

It’s light as a feather, stiff as a board and there’s nary a wire to be seen. The Razer Viper Ultimate is an absolute heavyweight in all the right areas that matter, and if you’ve got the buck to spend you’ll be surprised at just how much bang you get back in return from a device that’ll keep you gaming for days on end.

You don’t really expect external storage to be fast. Portable storage is there for its convenience, but often they have such slow transfer speeds that using them for anything beyond the transfer of a few smaller files is a bit of a drag. Largely because of their very nature, they have to use an interface that’s not especially fast. The X8 from Crucial fixes that dilemma, provided you have the right hardware.

Google responds to claims of poor Stadia communications, says it’s “up to publishers” to announce games

Earlier this week, the anger from the Stadia Reddit spilled over when early adopters realised they’d been with no worthwhile updates from Google regarding the streaming platform for over 40 days. And, from a consumer perspective, I think much of that anger is justified. Google promised regular updates – not just of games that would come to Stadia, but also …

The new mid-gen consoles heralded the beginning of the 4K era, brining UHD gaming to the masses. Sure, you could argue that few games consistently run at the target resolution natively. Some games instead use dynamic resolution scaling or rendering techniques. The PS4 Pro isn’t quite up to that task, and usually runs games at a lower resolution.

Yesterday, Facebook (the company, not the social media platform)announced that it was doing a great big rebrand, and will no longer be known as Facebook. Instead, they’d prefer if you got shouty about things. The company will henceforth be branded as FACEBOOK, because of reasons.
