Call of Duty: Ghosts launches tomorrow… yes we are one day away from entering a new era in Call of Duty and obviously that means the rumour mill is going insane. The latest rumour this morning is that the Call of Duty: Ghosts single player campaign is only 4 hours long.
Well thanks to that lovely NDA I signed I can neither confirm or deny that, but I will be able to tomorrow.
However I’m going to go out on a limb here and hopefully not get sued. The single player campaign is not longer than it was last year, or the year before that, or the year before that. I mean come on guys and girls Call of Duty is an annual franchise and the single player campaign has been pretty much the same length the entire time.
If it’s your thing then you know that you can finish it quickly on easy and it takes quite a long time on veteran. Nothing has changed. There’s also this multiplayer section which is relatively popular and the new Extinction mode looks interesting as well.
Oh and yes the Xbox One version is 720p upscaled to 1080p but that has nothing to do with this and you aren’t going to be playing it on Xbox One tomorrow so can we keep that out of the comments? No.. okay then.

I think it is safe to say that COD is no longer a SP game, and hasn’t been for at least the past few iterations. It is a MP game with a added on SP campaign, just like Battlefield. People who buy any of those two games for single player are doing it wrong anyway 🙂

yeah, finished the bf4 single player campaign on normal in 5 or 6 hours, was going through it pretty slow as well, checking textures and all that crap. Playing through again on hard now, will prob take the same amount of time…

Struggling with the singleplayer, it feels so… unbalanced, like physically, i get dizzy playing it.
multiplayer is awesome though, havent played since saterday morning, hopefully theyl have the servers fixed by now.

hehe, i did play on the servers but could not find any nicely populated ones. Most of the servers in the list were empty and the rest were only 10-24player. There were only a few that were 32 players and up that I could see. So just trying to get high scores on the single player campaign with other buddies at the mo. Also, if you play through again, you can now use any of the guns you unlocked during the first play through. Nice to have a sniper rifle on the first mission. Trying to complete the whole level with just headshots on hard.

Just beat it . . . took me about 6 hours straight through on veteran, died about 10 – 15 times. To me this one was much easier than any other veteran game . . . didn’t feel like much of a challenge. Worst mission in memory was in MW2 after using the sniper rifle. The stand off at the end when waiting for the chopper, the onslaught of enemies and dogs, took me a few days to beat that one. This was a walk in the park!
