Scalebound

Scalebound is one of the most highly anticipated games coming to the Xbox. It’s the ARPG that players have been waiting for on Microsoft’s console, and finally we got to see exactly why we should be excited thanks to a gameplay reveal at Gamescom.

Scalebound gameplay on Draconis looks stunning. From flying through the environment to fighting with your dragon, the visuals are gorgeous. In typical Platinum style, it’s all about impressive combat combos and using your dragon to your advantage. But it goes much further than that. Interestingly, there seems to be an arm blade for melee combat, as well as a bow to use for ranged encounters.

As players explore the environment, they will discover new areas, encounter key bosses and use a mixture of ranged and melee attacks. The special attacks from your dragon look particularly impressive.

The game will also include 4-player co-op. But don’t believe me – have a look for yourself.

Coming holiday 2016, it is sure to bring the typical Platinum experience to the Xbox console. Welcome to Xbox’s Bayonetta, only this time with a male lead, and the all important dragon gameplay.

No no no no no… It looked cool at first, but I cant get over the guys modern clothing and his “beats” headphones… It doesnt fit in with the world. I dont know. It just doesnt feel right to me AND his personality and voice reminds me a lot of Devil May Cry.

Yeah exactly. Why do they have to have that horrible typical young boy personality and those young teen clothing? I get that in Anime they use school kids most of the time, but that just somehow works. This though… Not sure. Also the soldiers armour reminds me of Lost Odyssey’s enemy’s armour.

Never played Lost Odyssey, but it does remind me of some anime I watched a while back, and this game seems like a JRPG more than a ARPG, guess those “beats” headphones make it a ARPG

If you can get yourself Lost Odyssey on X360 and you enjoy JRPG’s then try and get that game. Brilliant game indeed. Its classic JRPG at its best. Im still surprised it didnt get a sequel.

My brother has a 360 and Lost Odessey was his first game on the console 8 years ago. Its been that one game that made the console special to him. When I first bought a PS1 the first game I ever played was Residential Evil 2. Ever since then that game has a special place. lol
