Wow, can you believe we are already into February 2016? No, I can’t either. We have seen some amazing movies this year already with Hateful EightRevenant and Kervyn’s favourite The 5th Wave as some that stand out. Well just to level the tone and offer some comedy instead of out usual horror (though watch out, we have you covered there too) the kind folks over at Times Media Films are offering double tickets to the screening of 50 Shades of Black, a movie that still has a better story than the original it is making fun of. So, what’s it about? Have a watch below:

Looks like stupid fun! So, what do you have to do in order to win? Well, it’s so simple even Trevor, after a few hours, could figure it out. Just add your details below, and if you manage to get in before the thousands of others you’ll get an email saying ‘Congratulations!’ from your’s truly. We have seats available in both Cavendish in Cape Town and Cresta 1 in Johannesburg for the 18th of February at 20:00. You also score a coke and popcorn to scoff! Double win!

We look forward to seeing you there!

Nick Reay

I have been an avid fan of movies ever since I discovered Santa Clause wasn’t real, a day marked in my memory by my first viewing of It’s a Wonderful Life, which wasn’t so wonderful that day. Since then I’ve watched thousands of movies and even fooled my parents into putting me through uni to get a degree in the subject. I first started writing as a journalist for The South African Newspaper before moving onto communications for an NGO trying to save the planet. Unfortunately my recommendations to the CEO that we should all don rings imbued with the powers of earth, fire, wind, water and HEART went unheard. Now I pretend the end isn’t nigh by hiding in movies.

Very funny. It didn’t take me hours, I only had to watch the trailer 53 times.

Wait, is this what ‘merica considers comedy? I am surprised that this movie hasn’t gone the b-grade straight to TV(and by TV I mean etv) route O_o
