We’re just a few weeks away from the highly-anticipated release of Batman v Superman: Cameos of Justice Dawn of Justice or, depending on your point of view, the end of the world; and the marketing is ramping up to eleven. The latest bit of new footage from the movie aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live after the Oscars and shows Gotham’s Dark Knight taking it to the Man of Steel… sort of:

Holy smoke grenades, Batman! Although for future reference pulling the pin and counting ’til five might not be the best approach when facing someone faster than a speeding bullet. As evidenced by the fact that he caught whatever that is that Batman shot at him – I’m guessing not an actual bullet, maybe some kind of disruptor pellet? My bet is in the next scene that pellet goes boom IN YO FACE, SUPERMAN!

Secondly, confirming my suspicion that working in advertising would be hell, director Zack Snyder talks in this featurette about how one of the movies’ sponsors, Turkish Airlines, is an excellent fit with their production ethos on the movie:

Whatever you think of Zack Snyder as a director, I quite enjoy his work although many don’t, can we all take a moment to appreciate just how good of an actor he really is? He sold the hell out of that – no hint of an eye roll, didn’t even once look like cracking a smile – that’s some real commitment to ridiculous material. Those comparisons between Turkish Airlines and the movie were… forced… to say the least, and had me chortling the whole way through. Not him though, he’s a real professional. Their marketing department is sure to be pleased, while the rest of us are just bemused.

Finally we’ve got four new TV spots that have recently aired for your viewing pleasure, beyond a second or two doesn’t seem to be much in the way of new footage though.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is due to open worldwide on 25 March and it’s one I’m really looking forward to seeing. How about you?
