Heading into the quarter finals tonight, our Battlefield 3 Protea team will face-off against Italy. The team has proved to be dedicated and up there with the international talent – and you can watch them play tonight.

After losing only two of their five matches against the world’s best, Russia (currently leading their group) and Germany (current ESL champions), Team SA secured an impressive third place in Group C of the Nations Cup and will now test their skills against the third place occupants of Group A: Italy.

The match will be streamed at 21:00 tonight on a Bravado Gaming TwitchTV channel.

This is what our team line-up will look like:

  • Jean ‘wraithfiend’ Barendse (Bravado Gaming)
  • Michael ‘silencerbb’ Belmonte (ADHOC)
  • Craven ‘enigma-shifty’ Buitendach (Bravado Gaming)
  • Theuns ‘Alpha-Renji’ Louw (ASF)
  • Barry ‘Anthr4xZA’ Louzada (Bravado Gaming)
  • Sean ‘Scoper’ McCalgan (Bravado Gaming)
  • Rogan ‘Sabre’ Mocke (Bravado Gaming)
  • Thomas ‘ Steigerz’ Reid (Bravado Gaming)
  • Dean ‘ HackeM’ Seyfried (Bravado Gaming)
  • Lyle ‘ Grizzlah’ Thuynsma (Bravado Gaming)
  • Daniel ‘Crincler1’ Towse (Bravado Gaming)
  • Danie ‘couch’ Zwarts (Bravado Gaming)

“We are excited. It’s kind of like a go big or go home for us and all the guys are keen.” Says team Captain Barry ‘Anthr4xZA’ Louzada.

Team SA has never faced Italy before, so predicting who will take the win is a tough one. The quarter finals are held as single eliminations, meaning that the losing team will fall out of the tournament after this match. Irrespective of the outcome, this team has made South Africa proud getting as far as they did.
