E3 2012: New screenshots, new multiplayer details for Assassin’s Creed 3

A new year, a new game and a brand new way to shove a hidden blade into someone’s throat, with Assassin’s Creed 3. That seems to be the driving force behind the game, as the latest Animus chair exhibition is faster and more capable this year.

Plus, the multiplayer sounds pretty good as well.

VG247 got the scoop on the new multiplayer, which seems to combine past games with a more environmental experience. One of the new features, Domination, has players holding zones in order to score points, with unknown assassins tracking them down in that confined situation.

Two teams of four players are active in that mode specifically.

As for using your surrounding to kill opponents, the cryptic description so far makes it sound like walls and trees can be collapsed on top of foes, or using solid objects to enhance a kill, which is followed by a brutal animation.

The weather is also going to feature in these maps, to make situations even more tense and nerve-wracking. A new, third ability slot will also make itself known in the multiplayer, which can be equipped with several weapons, such as poison darts, while perks will also return.

I truly cannot wait to go ahead and Gibson Templar agents during the Revolution War, later this year.
