E3-2017

Earlier this week, we told you of the nominees for the Game Critics Awards, the closest thing we have to an official best of E3. Judged by 38 international and US publications, the awards are handed out every year to the very best things that were playable at E3. The big winner this year? Mario! Super Mario Odyssey is the game of show and best console game, while Mario+ Rabbids Kingdom Battle netted both Best Original Game and best strategy. Editor. I’m old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time – they were capable of being masterpieces. I’m here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.

  • Very happy to see Beyond Good and Evil 2 won every category!.
