And your 2013 Razzie nominations are…

I love bad movies. Not watching bad movies, mind you. No, I often feel like taking to my eyeballs with a spoon-shiv while doing that. I mean that as somebody who writes about movies, there are very few muses as efficient as an absolutely terrible film.

And with all these awards being handed out for the truly great films, it’s only fair that the truly deplorable ones get recognized as well. If not for their creaitvity inspiring attributes, then at least to serve as a cautionary tale about allowing Adam Sandler to still get work. And that’s where the Razzies come in… Hit the jump for more.

And here are your nominations for 2013 for the worst of the worst of the past year:

“Battleship”
The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure”
“That’s My Boy”

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II”
“Madea’s Witness Protection”

Worst Screen Couple
Any two cast members from “Jersey Shore” in “The Three Stooges”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II”
Tyler Perry and his drag in “Madea’s Witness Protection”
Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, or Susan Sarandon in “That’s My Boy”

While I do think that all the mentions on this list are valid entries, I think that the Worst Picture category missed some truly horrible ones in favour of the bigger, more popular picks. As loathe as I am to admit it, there’s no way that Breaking Dawn Part II and Batlleship, as brain cell murderously bad as they were, were worse than Alex Cross and Ghost Rider 2. Also Liam Neeson, despite the material he was working with, certainly didn’t give an offensive enough performance in either Battleship/Wrath of the Titans to end up on here.

This actually happened? Also, David Hasselhoff? He makes his career through cheese.
