Adam Sandler is starting to enter a field of comedy that can only be measured in Schuster levels. You know the type that we’re talking about here. Its gotten lazier, more predictable and includes even more bodily fluids than ever before.
Still, for some reason I just cannot hate Grown Ups. Especially when the sequel features a David Spade colonic.
The all-star comedy cast from “Grown Ups” returns (with some exciting new additions) for more summertime laughs. Lenny (Adam Sandler) has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school.
I’d call it good clean comedy, but I’d probably be 66% wrong with that statement. Still, there’s a formula at work here for Sandler and his rat pack pals, and seeing as how the first Grown Ups earned a decent sum at the box office, expectations are moderately placed that the sequel will make some easy cash.
Because seeing Adam Sandler get pissed on by a moose in room never gets old.
Grown Ups 2 is out in July, and also stars Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello and Nick Swardson, with Dennis Dugan directing.
