It’s been relatively quiet on the Amazing Spider-Man 2 promo front for a while now, but not to fear as Sony’s marketing machine is back with a vengeance. So for the three of you out there that haven’t yet seen half the movie in trailers/clips/images yet, a new international trailer has been released that clocks in at a whopping 3-minutes and which boasts uninterrupted clips from the movie, as well as the clearest looks we’ve received thus far of Electro, Rhino and the Green Goblin.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Just one or two more trailers like that, and a bit of time with some video editing software, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to splice together an abridged version of the entire film. Far too revealing trailers aside though, I still like what I’m seeing here, with a lot of it feeling like it’s been ripped straight off the pages of the Spider-Man comic, despite the changes in design to the villains.

Also, that’s some seriously blatant foreshadowing for what we know awaits Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – or at least the other half of the movie you haven’t seen yet – will be swinging into cinemas on May 2, 2014.
