Poor, London. The English city has really become Hollywood’s favourite whipping boy as of late (payback for all that colonialism perhaps?), with just about every second major blockbuster levelling it in some way or another. And now, clearly just to mop up whatever happens to still remain standing, Fox is dropping a bomb on them in the form of Jack Bauer in the upcoming event-series, 24: Live Another Day.
A new trailer for the series has been released, twice as long – and action packed – as the first one, so open a socket and get ready to be shouted at in a whisper all over again.
Four years ago, we left Jack a fugitive from justice and we’re going to pick him up four years later in London. Jack is soon back on the run and it takes us into the streets of London and in places that break new ground for the show. We’ve shot in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Cape Town — but now we’re in London and Jack’s loose on the streets of Europe, hunted by and hunting bad guys.
24: Live Another Day will stars Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Benjamin Bratt, Yvonne Strahovski, Kim Raver and William Devane, and will see Jack Bauer and his often not to friendly friends returning to TV screens on May 5, 2014.
