Grant Gustin teases a big twist in THE FLASH

I think by now, we’ve firmly established that The Flash is our favourite hero show on TV. Not only is it fun, it’s energetic, well scripted and Grant Gustin is owning his role as the fastest man alive with his charisma and actual joy over having superpowers.

It’s also a show with a cliffhanger ending on every episode, and after the recent mid-season break, these various plot threads are closing in on one hell of a collision course. After facing his most dangerous foe to date, the Reverse-Flash, Barry Allen needs to get faster. Especially if he wants to survive the season finale and its upcoming twist. According to star Grant Gustin, it’s a twist that nobody will see coming.

“There’s a big twist that even surprised me,” Gustin told EW.

I’ve seen all the predictions online. No one has predicted the big twist that’s coming at the end of this season.

And while we’re talking Reverse-Flash, check out this art that Filmsketchr found, from artist John Gallagher:

And since I’m not done with you lot yet, here’s a teaser of next week’s episode “The sound and the fury,” where Allen runs into a new nemesis, the Pied Piper.

Dr. Wells’ (Tom Cavanagh) former protégée, Hartley Rathaway (guest star Andrew Mientus), returns to seek revenge on his mentor after being affected by the particle accelerator explosion. Now able to manipulate sound waves, the brilliant Rathaway is a dangerous threat to both Wells and The Flash (Grant Gustin). Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) is thrilled when she’s hired by the Central City Picture News as their newest cub reporter. Unfortunately, her editor (guest star Tom Butler) pairs her with a veteran reporter, Mason Bridge (guest star Roger Howarth), who wants nothing to do with her. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) recalls his first day on the job at S.T.A.R. Labs when he met Hartley and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Joe (Jesse L. Martin) asks Eddie (Rick Cosnett) for a favor but asks him to keep it a secret from Barry.

  1. And the rich couple who had their painting stolen last night were… dun dun DUN… the Rathaways.

I feel kinda sorry for Iris’ character, she’s currently occupying the least relevant character slot that Laurel Lance used to have on Arrow.
