Hall H, are you ready? The San Diego Comic Con is around the corner, and with it comes brand new trailers, tidbits and features about upcoming movies. Last year saw a Loki invasion for Thor: The Dark World, and even though Disney isn’t showing any Star Wars at the event, they will have some Avengers in attendance. Here’s what attendees will most likely get to see next week. Maybe.
The Radio Times got an early glimpse of some Avengers 2 footage, describing a scene that saw Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark don some Hulkbuster armour in order to go one on one with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. In the background however, were new additions Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch:
Also sighted were new brother sister duo Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). Scarlet has mysterious reality warping powers (in the footage this mostly involved making some blocks float around) while Quicksilver can run really, really fast (although without the special effects, it was more of a light jog).
More footage saw the Scarlet Witch fighting alongside Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, while Avengers Tower was also unveiled:
Designed by Tony Stark out of the ruins of his New York penthouse, this has all mod cons: floor to ceiling windows, twin laboratories for Stark and Bruce Banner, and parking for supersonic jets. It’s reminiscent of the SHIELD helicarrier in terms of construction, with lots of shiny metal pillars
While the first Avengers movie was situated primarily in New York, the sequel will see the team jet around the world to stop Ultron, popping up Italy, South Korea and a very lekker battle here in South Africa. SDCC will see some Avengers footage previewed, although Marvel boss Kevin Feige mentioned that this specific show reel may or may not be seen. Should be interesting to see what Hall H produces next week.

If they don’t show us this footage, I’m going to be doing some Hulk Smashing of my own. Politely, of course. I still want my free food.
