Chris Cooper is your Norman Osborn for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

2 min read

There’s a reason why ol’ Spidey has such big eyes as part of his redesigned costume. It’s most likely because he can’t believe his peepers at the fact that he may have to deal with not one, not two, but three villains in the sequel. Jamie Foxx is already on board to zap some webs as Electro, while Paul Giamatti is somehow going to be playing the massive Russian bruiser the Rhino, presumably while dodging poachers looking to harvest his horn for their erectless market of clients. And joining that duo to become a trio, comes news that Chris Cooper will be revealing himself as Norman Osborn, AKA the Green Goblin.

According to THR, Cooper will be joining the film as Osborn, stepping out from the shadows where he was constantly mentioned in the first movie. It makes sense, with Dane DeHaan on board as his son Harry, but it’s doubtful that he’ll be putting on a green mask and Willem Dafoeing things up on a goblin glider in his first movie.

And certainly does look like Amazing Spidey 2 is going to be a busy movie. Between Electro and Rhino, trying to attend school, saving the day and working on a relationship with Gwen Stacy, Parker is going to have his hands full. And don’t forget about that quest to find out secrets to his true origin either.

Y’know, the one that we were promised in the first movie.
