Get aside Marvel, this is Star Trek, and the brand new logo and short teaser trailer from CBS has made me rather happy, and VERY impatient. I know it is a long way off but if this doesn’t colour me intrigued nothing in this galaxy could. Okay, it IS only 50 seconds long, but that was enough for me! I am still very curious to see WHEN it takes place, and whether that universe is the same as the current movies, what with their creation of a new canon. Either way, I haven’t been this excited for anything Star Trek since Deep Space 9. The only thing that may stand in some of our ways is that, although initially on CBS’s on-air network, it will then subsequently move to it’s paid for platform. Expect it to warp into your browser in January 2017.
