Writer-Director Paul Feig is reteaming with his Bridesmaids and The Heat actor Melissa McCarthy to bring us Spy – an action comedy about a desk-bound CIA analyst who enters the high stakes world of global espionage…

The official plot synopsis is as follows:

Susan Cooper (McCarthy) is an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst, and the unsung hero behind the Agency’s most dangerous missions. But when her partner falls off the grid and another top agent is compromised, she volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a global disaster.

It seems fairly predictable fare but sometimes that’s all you want – expect plenty of fish-out-of-water scenarios, misunderstandings and fat jokes. Spy stars Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Jason Statham and Rose Byrne and is due for release in the US on 22 May 2015.
