Beetlejuice (2)

Classic horror movie fans, get ready for a treat this Halloween, no tricks! Starting just before midnight (when else) on the 30th of October, and running all day on the 31st, there’s a 24 hour marathon session of classic horror movies on TCM (DTSV channel 137).

There’s something for every type of movie fanatic in this spook-fest. In between all the frights you’re expecting, TCM will be mixing things up with a little bit of black comedy courtesy of Critters and Gremlins 2. In additionno Halloween movie marathon would be complete without the fantasy-comedy-horror classic, Beetlejuice by living embodiment of Halloween, Tim Burton.

We also get some great classic horror with The Fly (1986), Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), Poltergeist (1982) and even The Birds, Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 horror movie that infamously tortured first time actress Tippi Hedren to a near-total breakdown. No seriously, they threw live birds at her for five solid days. I think anyone would break down after that! But somehow she came back for more with another Hitchcock horror, Marnie (1964), a psychological thriller that kicks off this marathon.

Here’s the full line up of all the ghosties and ghouls and things that go bump in the night:
