Heist movies never go out of fashion, and much like the crimes portrayed within them, they’re always fun. While we’ve had our fair share of Oceanic robberies and getaways, there’s always a new angle to discover for these kinds of films, and the next gimmick in this genre might just seem magical.
All the pieces are here for a decent flick. A solid cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg as the leader of the Horsemen magic group alongside Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco, with support from Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman and Morgan Freemans’ voice.
When Atlas (Eisenberg) and his gang somehow manage to perform an impossible robbery and redistribute that wealth to the audience that happens to be comprised of fraud victims, the FBI gets involved, with Ruffalo’s Agent Hobbs working alongside Michael Caine’s Interpol agent and Freeman’s magic debunking character of Thaddeus.
Louis “The Transporter” Leterrier directs the abras and kadabras of this flick, and it’s scheduled to appear in a puff of smoke and skimpy, distracting clothing next year June.
