I may have given up on the Resident Evil series of films a while back, but there are still a whole lot of you guys still holding on out there, waiting to see how Alice’s story plays out. And according the to blurbs you are in for some “mind-blowing” revelations this time around. You know, just like you were supposed to have mind-blowing revelations in the last one, and the one before that and the one before that…

…Anyway, to fill the ever increasing gap blown out of your mind, here are 8 new images showcasing the characters of Resident Evil: Retribution.

Look, let’s not mince words here. The last Resident Evil movie was pretty crap. Ever since director Paul W.S. Anderson discovered slow-mo and 3D in the second film, this stopped being a zombie action fest and instead became 90 min long episodes of “Look how hot my wife is!”

And while Milla Jovovich will certainly always draw the eye, this gag got played out about 2 sequels back already.

Despite my past experiences, I’ll probably still end up watching this one, as the trailers seems to be indicating an escalation in scope that intrigues me. Plus, I’m a huge Kevin Durand fan and it will be interesting to see his take on Barry Burton. Hopefully though, I will also still get some decent, logical story to go along with this hi-tech modelling show.

Synopsis:

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human races last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.
