Kristen Stewart reteams with Clouds of Sils Maria writer/director Olivier Assayas for the drama-thriller Personal Shopper; which has less to do with shopping and more with Stewart, as a personal shopper for the rich and famous, having to deal with ghosts from her past.

The incredibly brief plot synopsis is as follows:

Revolves around a ghost story that takes place in the fashion underworld of Paris

Which doesn’t help all that much but does provide a decent pun (which I’m guessing was unintended), so let’s see what the trailer can tell us:

The movie was recently screened at the Cannes Film Festival where it received a muted response from critics overall, but based on the trailer I think this doesn’t look too bad. It looks like the story of a deeply unhappy person trying desperately to come to terms with her life and recent trauma – is the ghost real or just a product of her troubled mind? I want to know, how about you?

Personal Shopper is due for release in France on 19 October, no local or US release dates as yet. Written and directed by Olivier Assayas, it star Kristen Stewart, Anders Danielsen Lie, Lars Eidinger, Nora von Waldstätten and Sigrid Bouaziz.
