When it comes to Melissa McCarthy movies, I’m a bit hit and miss. Or rather, she makes a huge hit and I completely miss how that’s even possible. That being said, Spy was easily one of the funniest movies I’ve seen this year, so I’m definitely willing to give her the benefit of doubt and try out her new flick The Boss.

In the upcoming R-rated comedy, McCarthy teams with frequent collaborator actor/screenwriter/director Ben Falcone (Tammy) who steps behind the camera for this one, which he also co-penned with McCarthy. The movie does see McCarthy falling back into her by-now default state of loud-and-sweary, so that’s less than hopeful, but at least she seems to be getting a good rapport with co-star Kristen Bell.

Check it out below.

Academy Award®-nominated star Melissa McCarthy (“Bridesmaids,” “The Heat,” “Tammy”) headlines “The Boss” as a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.

The Boss also stars Peter Dinklage, Kristen Schaal, Kathy Bates and Cecily Strong. It is scheduled for release on 8 April 2016.
