Pete Docter's next Pixar film revealed

If there’s one thing that I admire about Pixar, it’s that they’re always thinking ahead. They’ve got films in the pipelines for years to come, and with projects that take several years to be completed, it’s a wise decision to have an eye on the future.

One such film was announced a couple of years back already, and would see Pete “Up” Docter returning for some CGI shenanigans. And for that 2015 release, Docter is going to visit the most dangerous place known to mankind. The inside of a child’s head.

Pixar has confirmed that the movie will be called “Inside Out”, and will be out June 2015. Set inside the mindscape of young kid, the official synopsis reads as the movie being “told from the perspective of the emotions inside the mind of a little girl”, according to ComingSoon.net.

A Pixar film set inside the imagination? Should be some heady (Ha!) visuals involved, as well as a chance to break out of the “Stay true to yourself” model that family films espouse lately. It’ll also be the second Pixar film to feature a female lead character after last year’s Brave.
